My father died recently. How soon does his house need clearing?
That depends on whether it is rented, being sold or staying in the family, not on us. Take the time you need; we work to the date that suits the estate wherever we can.
Mum moves into a care home in a few weeks. When should we book?
Once the move date is fixed. We clear after she has gone with the things she wants, and if the date moves, so do we.
Do you come out as far as Totland?
Yes. It is one of our longer runs from Newport, so we plan carefully and aim to clear the whole property in a single visit.
Can you take things to Afton Marsh for us?
We take waste to licensed facilities. The council's free household allowance is for residents bringing their own waste, so clearance firms can't use it.
What happens to Mum's clothes and household things?
Clean clothes, linen, books and kitchenware can go to the village charity shops, and usable furniture to reuse where a charity will take it. The rest is recycled or goes to licensed facilities.
There's a park home to clear. Anything we should check?
