On the Undercliff
The carry is half the job
Ventnor's centre sits about 45 metres above the sea on steep south-facing terraces, under St Boniface Down. Everything comes and goes by road.

Steephill Cove
No road access, so everything is carried to the nearest road. We plan the route with you before pricing.
Beyond St Lawrence
Undercliff Drive west of St Lawrence has been closed to vehicles since 2014, so some homes are reached via Whitwell.

Can you value my late father's antiques?
No. We aren't valuers, and we would always suggest an auctioneer or valuer sees anything you think is worth something before we clear. Then we take what's left.
There's a long flight of steps up from the road. Can you still clear it?
Yes. Steps come with working in Ventnor. Send a photo of them and tell us where the van can park, and we'll price the carry properly.
The cottage is near Steephill Cove. How do things get out?
There is no vehicle access to the cove, so everything is carried to the nearest road. We look at the route with you before giving a price.
Will the Pier Street shop take old furniture?
Antiques and collectables are its speciality, so ask about older pieces there first. Fabric furniture needs a fire safety label.
It's a second home we no longer use. Do we have to come over?
No. We arrange keys with you or a key holder, clear the house, lock up and let you know when it's done.
