What we can't take
- Loose, swollen or damaged lithium batteries
- Broken fluorescent tubes
Lithium batteries can catch fire if crushed, so take damaged ones to the tip. Leave built-in batteries in the device. More in our e-waste guide.

FAQ
E-waste questions
Short answers. If yours is not here, call or send it with your quote.
Can I put small electricals in my bin?
No. Electricals shouldn't go in your general waste or recycling. Household batteries can go in a small clear bag on top of the general waste bin; everything else goes to the tip, a shop take-back point or a licensed collector.
Will a shop take my old TV?
If you're buying a similar new one, yes: retailers must take back the old item free. Collection from your home may cost extra, so ask.
What should I do about the data on old computers?
Wipe or remove it yourself before we collect. If your business needs certified data destruction, arrange it with a specialist before the clearance.
Can you take old CRT televisions?
Yes. Old tube TVs and monitors are heavy and contain leaded glass, so they need proper WEEE treatment. We carry them out from wherever they are.
Do you take batteries?
Batteries inside devices, yes. Loose, swollen or damaged lithium batteries should go to the tip separately, because they're a fire risk if crushed.
Can you collect from a business?
Yes, for small offices and shops. For a full office clear-out, see our office clearance service.
