What's included

Everything your bin contract doesn't cover

Keep your weekly bins. Call us for the loads that are too big, too irregular or too awkward for them.

  • Loaded from where it is

Stockrooms, upper floors, back yards and basements. You don't carry anything out.

  • Mixed loads, one price

Furniture, fittings, card, pallets and electricals in a single visit.

  • Your transfer note

Filled in for every collection, describing the waste and who took it. Keep it for at least two years.

  • Sorted as we load

Card, metal, timber and electricals kept apart from general waste.

  • Seating handled properly

Sofas and armchairs kept separate, because upholstered seating has to be incinerated.

  • Timed around trading

Before opening, after closing or between bookings, agreed when we price it.

Who we collect from

Shops, offices, lets and trades

Collected in four steps

  1. 1

    Tell us what and where

Photos, the floor it's on and any loading restrictions on your street.

  2. 2

Agree a price and a slot

A time that keeps your business running, fixed before anything is booked.

  3. 3

    We load and sort

Recycling, seating and electricals separated, and the area swept.

  4. 4

    Paperwork in hand

A waste transfer note for your records, every time.

Priced on the load, not a rate card

Disposal on the Island is charged by weight and type, so we price what's actually there.

  1. 01Volume and weightMeasured in van loads. Paper archives and metal racking weigh far more than they look.
  2. 02What it isUpholstered seating, mattresses and plasterboard each carry their own disposal charge.
  3. 03Access and timingUpper floors without a lift, restricted loading hours or an early start.
  4. 04How oftenA one-off clear-out is priced as one job. Regular collections are priced per visit.

A fixed price before we start

  • Free, no-obligation quote
  • Priced from photos or a visit
  • Fixed before anything is booked

FAQ

Commercial waste questions

Short answers. If yours is not here, call or send it with your quote.

Do you provide waste transfer notes?

Yes, for every commercial collection. The note describes the waste, the quantity and both parties. Keep it for at least two years. For regular collections of the same waste, one note can cover a series of visits.

Can my tradesperson or cleaner use the household tip?

No. The council treats waste from business activity, including work done in a customer's home, as commercial waste. It has to go to the Lynnbottom commercial site through a registered carrier.

Do you supply bins for a weekly collection?

No. For steady weekly waste, a trade bin contract from the council or a private firm is the cheaper option. We handle the loads that don't fit in a bin, one-off or regular.

Can you collect before we open or after we close?

Often, yes. Tell us your trading hours and any loading restrictions on your street when you ask for a quote, and we'll agree a time before anything is booked.

How do I check you're a licensed waste carrier?

Search the Environment Agency's public register of waste carriers by our name or postcode. It shows the registration number, tier and expiry date. Check any carrier before you hand over waste.

Do we have to separate our recycling?

Workplaces with 10 or more employees have had to separate dry recycling, food and general waste since 31 March 2025; smaller ones from 31 March 2027. That applies to your daily bins. The loads we collect are sorted anyway.

Can you clear furniture from a holiday let between guests?

Yes. Give us the changeover window and we'll work to it. Sofas and armchairs are kept apart from the rest because upholstered seating must be incinerated.

Tell us what needs to go

A few quick questions and a photo or two is usually all it takes to give you a firm price. Or pick up the phone and talk to us.
