What's included
Down the hatch, carefully
A loft over a three-bedroom house can hold more than a garage, and it all comes down one load at a time.
Everything up there
Boxes, suitcases, toys, cots, decorations, carpet rolls and old furniture.
Passed down by hand
Nothing thrown through the hatch. We work from the boards and joists, never the ceiling.
Sorted as we go
School reports, letters, photos and paperwork set aside for you, not binned.
Reuse first
Dry, boxed loft contents are some of the most reusable things we collect.
Electricals recycled
Old lamps, TVs and small electricals kept apart for WEEE recycling.
Landing left clean
Dust sheets down on the way, swept up when we finish.
Who we help
Why lofts get cleared
Before a sale
The last job before completion, and often bigger than anyone expected.
Before a conversion or insulation
Clear it before the builders start, rather than paying them to.
A parent's loft
Decades of family boxes, sorted with care so nothing personal is lost.
Just reclaiming the space
Storage back, without the ladder trips. Sort it at ground level first if you like.
Cleared in four steps
- 1
Photos from the hatch
One from the hatch and one from each end is usually enough.
- 2
Get a fixed price
We agree a price and a day. Write KEEP on any boxes that stay.
- 3
We bring it down
Into the van, or into a spare room first if you want to sort it yourself.
- 4
Sorted and gone
Reuse, recycling and disposal separated. Landing swept.
Priced on what's up there
Lofts are priced on the contents and how easy they are to get down.
- 01How muchA few boxes near the hatch or a boarded loft packed to the eaves.
- 02AccessA proper loft ladder and boarding, or a small hatch and joists only.
- 03SortingA straight clearance, or going through boxes and setting things aside.
- 04Large itemsFurniture, water tanks or carpet rolls eased through the hatch.
A fixed price before we start
- Free, no-obligation quote
- Priced from photos or a visit
- Price agreed before anything is booked
Booking the loft with the garage or a few pieces of furniture is usually better value than separate jobs.
Your options
Doing it yourself, or booking it

What we can't take
- Suspected asbestos, such as old pipe lagging
- Paint, chemicals and aerosols
- Wasps' nests (call pest control first)
Old lagging or boards? Mention them and we'll clear around them, or advise you to get them checked. An old cold-water tank can go once a plumber has drained and disconnected it. More in our hazardous waste guide.

FAQ
Loft clearance questions
Short answers. If yours is not here, call or send it with your quote.
My loft isn't boarded. Can you still clear it?
Usually, yes. We work from the joists and take extra care, but it takes longer. Tell us when you book so we can plan and price it properly.
We don't have a loft ladder. Is that a problem?
Not usually, but tell us so we can plan the access. Send a photo of the hatch if you can.
Do I need to bring things down first?
No. We do all the carrying, from the loft to the van. Just clear the landing under the hatch.
Will you go through the boxes?
We check as we go and set aside anything that looks personal. If you'd rather go through everything yourself, we can bring it all down for you to sort first.
Can you take old insulation?
Loose offcuts and old rolls that have already been lifted, yes. Nothing that may contain asbestos.
Can you clear the loft before a conversion?
Yes. Clearing it before the builders start avoids paying them to do it. If the conversion leaves waste of its own, see our construction waste service.
